Exuberance in shades of green and blue
Nature has been extremely generous with Angra dos Reis. The beauty of this region has been known worldwide for a long time. In 1502 a Portuguese naval squadron was sent to explore the coast of the region, leaving all of the crewmen ecstatic with its beauty. It was discovered on January 6, Epiphany – Three Kings Day - and so was named Angra dos Reis.
Here the Atlantic Forest meets the sea, dotted with tiny islands. All told there are 365 islands, a coincidence in the form of an invitation: explore a new island each day. The crystal-clear waters of the sea with a varied and colorful marine life affords an incredible diving and boating experience with enchanting surprises like coral reefs, fish, turtles and dolphins."
